Although I am a Florida native, my earliest exposure to church happened after my family moved to the Detroit area of Michigan when I was 6 years old. At that time, I spent my unsupervised Sunday mornings throwing eggs at a passing church bus. One day the driver stopped and offered to give me a ride to church, which I accepted. They gave me a Bible (and a water hose to clean the bus). Following high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served six years.
Thanks to the GI Bill, I received college degrees in management and marketing and was self-employed as an owner/operator of three postal store businesses for many years in Ohio. Life changes spurred a move back to Florida in 2010. My wife, Suzan, and I have been married since 2014 and together we have three daughters and nine grandchildren.
The Lord has been my rock through many storms of life, and I am grateful for the truth of our justification by faith declared in Romans 3:23-24 – “for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
