Family Ministries

Throughout the year, Christ Church hosts special events that bring families together for fellowship. Some of the events include bonfires, pancake suppers, cookouts, bluegrass concerts, hymn sings, and parish lunches or dinners in the Community Center.

All are welcome to join us for any event.

Upcoming events can be found on the Church Calendar.

For more information on upcoming events at Christ Church, please email the Church Office or call 772.646.0920.

LIFE GROUPS

Join a small group of other people in our parish to study God's word, discuss its meaning, and learn more about growing in faith. Groups meet in places throughout the community and on different days and times. Contact Fr. Hunter for more info about joining a group or hosting a new one.

CHRIST CHURCH ACADEMY

Our parish school for preschool and Lower School. CCA is on mission to train champions of truth and transform their lives as they are discipled in the love of Jesus and learn to follow His ways.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Shaping Hearts to Love Jesus

Age-Appropriate Spiritual Education for Our Children!

Our mission with children's ministries is to shape children's hearts to love and serve Jesus and to grow spiritually through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at 9 am and 10:30 am on Sundays, and separately at Christ Church Academy during the week.

In order to maintain a loving, protected environment for infants through 5th grade kids, all of our childcare workers undergo background checks and are trained in child safety protocols.

For more information on the Children's Ministry at Christ Church, please email Fr. Hunter Van Wagenen, or call 772.646.0920, ext. 116.

The Promise Land

Kids are invited to visit Promise Land!

In this very special wing of the church, we are creating an environment where kids are reminded of the promises in God's Word and His blessings for children. Parents and visitors sign in using the KidCheck system that provides opportunities to share any special physical or dietary needs in order to help us minister properly to the children. Promise Land is comprised of these key areas:

Peek-A-Boo Zoo logo

Peek-a-Boo Zoo (Nursery)

Available for infants through toddlers on Sundays starting at 9 am during Sunday School and through the worship service. It also serves as our home to the youngest members of our CCA Family (1's and 2's) on weekday mornings.

Lighthouse Point logo

Lighthouse Point (CCA Kindergarten Readiness)

Lighthouse Point is our Kindergarten Readiness classroom.

The Treehouse logo

The Treehouse (Older Kids)

On Sundays, kids ages 3-6 years meet here first for fun and interactive activities and Bible lessons during the weekly 9 am Sunday School. This age group then moves to our Atrium adjacent to the Nave for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd experiences during the 10:30 am Sunday service. Children may be picked up after the sermon by their parents to participate in prayers and Holy Communion with their families.

On weekday mornings, the Treehouse is the CCA classroom for our 2's and 3's, and the space for early and after care.

CHRIST CHURCH ACADEMY

Christ Church Academy is a parochial school and an important part of our mission at Christ Church. As a fully accredited school, our mission is to train champions of truth, making disciples who follow Jesus and lead lives transformed by Him.

By God's grace, we have been given the resources to build a new academic building on campus for our Lower School students, which will open in August 2025. Students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade will experience a carefully planned space that includes large classrooms, a STEM lab, and Black Box Theater. Our teachers are state certified by the Florida Department of Education and well-qualified by their professional experience. CCA is fully accredited by Christian Schools of Florida (CSF) and the National Council of Private School Accreditation.

In today's world, students need both competency in academic disciplines and a strong foundation in the Word of God. We are committed to helping each student achieve academic excellence and to developing the whole person with programs designed to engage students academically, spiritually, physically, and socially in a safe, creative, and loving environment.

Additionally, we offer a dynamic social structure that allows extended family members to participate in our school community. Throughout the school year, special enrichment opportunities are designed to bring families together through fun-loving, shared experiences.

Our preschool students experience a robust academic morning of learning and play in a gracious Christian environment that emphasizes Biblical values and social development while leading them to the heart of Jesus Christ.

Registration is currently open for the 2025-26 school year, for both preschool and Lower School enrollment. As classes tend to fill up very quickly each year, please contact Mr. Bruce Gammell for current enrollment information or to schedule a facility tour.
