My spiritual formation began in early childhood with relationships and experiences interwoven within a faithful, Christian community. After receiving a degree from the University of Florida in Communications & Education, I worked in various marketing and public relations positions before changing course to provide private and group piano instruction, piano accompaniment, and advisory support roles in the musical art community.
After 20 years as a volunteer for a variety of preschool and elementary classroom positions and in children's ministry programming (including serving as Director of Children's & Family Ministries at Christ Church Vero Beach), God issued a new ministry call for me to lead Church & Community Relations for the parish. This new communications position connects the mission, message, and activities of Christ Church to those in our faith family and our neighbors in the local community.
Romans 12:12 says to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” and is a keystone of my personal journey and ministry as I seek to embrace the charge of Proverbs 3:5-6, trusting the Lord in all things and not on my own understanding of them.
I am enrolled in the Master's Degree program at Trinity School for Ministry and undergoing ordination formation for the diaconate within the Gulf Atlantic Diocese. Ever ready for a travel adventure, I also enjoy down time by the pool and exploring the wonders of nature with my husband, Matt. We have two adult children; Andrew lives in Tampa, Fla., and Gracie is on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
