Great Litany Services and Noontime Prayers - Each Weekday, Through April 3
Each weekday during the Lenten season, the Great Litany will be prayed at 12 Noon in the Church. The Great Litany is the earliest liturgical worship service translated from Latin into English by Archbishop Thomas Cramner, and first published and authorized for use in the year 1544. Included in every Prayer Book since 1549, this series of petitions and acknowledgments of our shortcomings has been used by Anglicans in seasons of penitence and crisis, as well as historically for springtime crop planting prayers, known as “rogation” for more than four centuries. The service will last 15-20 minutes, will be led by staff members and Lay Eucharistic Ministers, and will include a brief opportunity for mention of those who are ill. The Noontime service will begin Thursday, Feb. 27, at 12 Noon, and will occur each weekday through Friday, April 3.

Spring Lenten 40 Days for Life Observance

You’re invited to stand or sit and peacefully pray during a 40-day vigil on the sidewalk outside of A Woman’s World Medical Center, 503 S 12th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950, and also to help spread the word about this important community outreach.
If you cannot participate on Tuesday, you are welcome to pray onsite any other day of the week. To sign up for vigil hours, visit www.40DaysforLife.com/fort-pierce. If you need help signing up online or would like more information, please contact Katherine Booth, Co-Leader Anglicans for Life, email, Cell 386.506.9477 or www.facebook.com/40DaysFortPierce.
Lenten Bible Study for Adults - Sundays 9 am
Fr. Keith leads our Lenten Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9 am in the Community Center. The class considers the significance of Jesus' final seven words spoken from the cross. As we understand and identify with His suffering, we are challenged and transformed by His message to "pick up your cross and follow Me." The course materials include a book and a study guide for $20. Scholarships are available upon request, so please don't let the cost keep you from participating in the class. All are welcome! Please contact Stephanie Toperzer in the Church Office at 772.562.8670 to place your order, or leave your request on a Connect Card.
Kids Sunday School in Lent Teaches Them About Jesus
Our Children's Ministry provides weekly Sunday School for children ages 4 through 10 years, and nursery care for infants to 3 years. During Lent, our study is on the "I Am" statements of Jesus. Kids learn who Jesus is and why we can trust Him completely, based on the very important things He told us about who He is - God himself. All are welcome, and we encourage you to invite families with children, or perhaps your own grandchildren, to come and learn along with us. Learn more about Children's Ministries at Christ Church.
Sunday Eucharist - 10:30 am
Our Sunday worship service at 10:30 is designed to promote congregational unity and fellowship. Our Eucharist service emphasizes the "three streams" of our Anglican faith: Scripture, Sacraments, and Spirit. The focus centers on the authority of Scripture and is expressed through observing the time-honored sacraments while experiencing the power, freedom, and ministry of the Holy Spirit.
This new schedule allows for an hour of discipleship opportunities to begin at 9 am for all ages, thus enabling those serving in the Choir, Band, and/or AV to be able to attend these classes and still have time to prepare for the worship service.
"Embrace the Journey" - Through April 24
Although Anglicans believe that life is sacred and God has a true and good design for each life, many people struggle when facing end of life issues. Christ Church is offering an adult education series, "Embrace the Journey," to help people understand and apply God's Word to the process of aging, dying, and related issues. Facilitated by Carol Pearson, the series includes a DVD teaching with workbook and discussion material. The series will be held on Fridays, Feb. 28 through April 24, from 3-5 pm. We will begin in the Nave with a time of prayer before moving into the Conference Room for teaching and discussion. For more information or to register for this series, please use a Connect Card or call Stephanie Toperzer in the Church Office at 772.562.8670.
Re-Introducing The Book of Common Prayer

The linen hardcover edition is $17. A deluxe softcover edition with gilded pages is available for $32.
